The Committee
The Project 600 march against crime is being conducted by a committee of people passionate about Trinidad and Tobago. The Committee first met in September, 2023, with a view to staging a solidarity march against murder and violent crime. The march is planned for Sunday 10th December, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the Queen’s Park Savannah.
He is also President of the Caribbean Institute of Astronomy– a group he’s been a part of since his secondary school days at Presentation College, Chaguanas. His work in astronomy education and outreach, as well as his role at Eniath’s, has offered him the opportunity to interact with a broad section of the population.
Isa’s ability to problem-solve, and his desire to always improve and do better is why he is here today. When he’s not tending to his business, he can usually be found behind a telescope, fishing, or playing board games with his wife and three sons.
As the stand-up comedian Just Lisa, she performs Caribbean feminist-themed material, and this is reflected in the body of short comic films she has written and co-produced on her own and as part of the duo FemCom.
Lisa is an award-winning poet and fiction writer, and her work is widely published. She is known for writing about Caribbean women and life in the region.
He has served with the Association of Professional Engineers (Civil Division President, Vice President, APETT Executive Committee Vice President); the Board of Engineering of Trinidad and Tobago Civil Engineering Assessment Committee; and the San Fernando Waterfront Steering Committee member under the then-Minister of Planning.
Hollis is a Peer Counsellor and committee member in the Catholic Church and its related organizations. He has been married for 28 years and has four children. He has lived in San Fernando resident for most of his life.
Over the past 15 years, she has gained valuable knowledge and experience across a wide range of business and service sectors, including, teaching, print design, publishing, marketing, project management and event planning.
Her debut novel The Yard was published by Speaking Tiger Books, New Delhi (2016) and she has been a panellist and speaker at Bocas Literary Festival and Miami Book Fair.
Aliyyah is dedicated to bringing equity and opportunity to the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
Administratively, his experiences range from Marketing manager to Operations manager, and he has also been creative director, working with other creative voices.
For this project, Project 600, Kirk brings the enviable experience of being the event planner at the Trinidad Chamber of Industry & Commerce in 2005. He was then tasked with mobilizing the Chamber’s support through its business network for a ground-breaking anti-crime march, coined the Keith Noel 136 Committee by its founder Stephen Cadiz. On October 24, 2005, the group staged the famous Death March in POS. His hope is for Project 600 to similarly stir the legislators and the emotions of the public to stand up and demand more be done to stem the wave of crime affecting our nation.
